Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a cylindrical battery of enhanced discharge performance and reliability, with production efficiency increased by simultaneously mounting a cylindrical separator and a bottom-part separator.
SOLUTION: A separator loading jig 11 holding a bottom-part separator 5 and a battery case 1 are positioned under a separator mounting device 12 with their center axes aligned together. By lowering a core 13 wound with a cylindrical separator 3 and raising the battery case 1, the cylindrical separator 3 is inserted in the battery case 1 in such a manner that an end of the cylindrical separator 3 is covered by the bottom-part separator 5. When the core 13 is raised and the battery case 1 is lowered, the cylindrical separator 3 and the bottom-part separator 5 are simultaneously mounted in the battery case 1.
