Abstract:
Sub sleeve (22) is rotatable at preset angle with respect to axis of main horizontal sleeve (21). Stirring unit (1) stirs molten metal supplied into sub sleeve with bottom end closed by sub plunger (32), using electromagnetic field. After molten metal is supplied into sub sleeve, sub sleeve is rotated into alignment with main sleeve. Main, sub plungers (31,32) press molten metal, to form billet.
