Title:
MANUFACTURE OF FIBER-REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL WITH CONNECTING HOLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0976385
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To improve a resistance against a concentrated stress generated around a connecting hole by thrusting a penetrating member heated at least to a melting point of a resin into a laminate of a thermoplastic resin film and an unimpregnated reinforcing fiber cloth, and deflecting the weft and warp of the unimpregnated reinforcing fiber cloth around the through member so that these yarns are allowed to run off.

For example, thirty pieces of a glass fiber cloth as a reinforcing fiber cloth and 31 pieces of polyamide 66 film of the same size as a thermoplastic resin film are obtained by cutting. In addition, each one piece of cloth 1 and film 2 are stacked, and positions for forming holes on this laminate are determined in parallel with each long side and the short side of the cloth 1. Further, a peaked round bar member 3 as a metal through member is heated higher than the melting point of the polyamide 66, and is thrust at the hole-opened positions, while the lower face of the laminate is supported by a receiving base 4. Finally, the fiber of the cloth 1 is impregnated with the resin film 2 by melting the film 2, while the weft and warp of the glass fiber cloth are deflected around the through member 3 so that these yarns are allowed to run off.
