Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a highly crosslinked polyolefin- based resin foamed body which enables direct foaming of a formed body obtained from an expandable resin composition without any treatment and further enables easy production of a highly crosslinked foamed body by water crosslinking.
SOLUTION: A polyolefin-based resin (A) is modified by melting and blending 100 pts.wt. of the resin (A) with 0.05-5 pts.wt. of a dioxide compound at temperatures in the range from 170°C to the decomposition temperature of the polyolefin. The modified resin composition (B) is blended with a silane- modified polyolefin-based resin (C), the weight ratio of (A):(C) being 20-80:80-20 (wherein (A)+(C)=100). The mixed compound is then kneaded with a thermally decomposable chemical foaming agent and the obtained expandable resin composition is heated and foamed by decomposition of the foaming agent followed by water crosslinking.
