Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately perdict the shape change during air-cooling a steel sheet, shape change by placing method or shape change after cutting and to prevent the generation of the defects in shape by adding the action of flatness of the steel sheet to means for predicting the temp. distribution on the surface of the steel sheet and the deformation of steel sheet after air-cooling.
SOLUTION: At the time of predicting deformation caused by air cooling of the steel sheet, especially, the steel sheet after accelerating cooling or thermal straightening stage, first, the temp. distribution and flatness of the surface of the steel sheet is measured before air cooling and the thermal strain after air cooling which is calculated from this temp. distribution is corrected with the strain which is calculated from the flatness. The steel sheet on which the generation of deffects in shape of buckling, flatness after cutting or horizontal bend are predicted is treated by, at the time of executing a cold straightening treatment and/or heat treatment, previously setting plural treating conditions, predicting shape change from residual stress with the treatment and selecting the treating conditions by which any deffects in shape are not generated.
