PURPOSE: To manufacture the titled laminated of high impact strength at low cost, by the use of a resol type phenolic resin obtained by reaction between a phenol, an aldehyde and a small amount of an aniline.
CONSTITUTION: A phenol is mixed with an aldehyde in a given mole ratio folled adding an aniline such as aniline, toluidine, etc. to the resulting mixture in an amount of 0.015W0.045 mole per mole of the phenol to carry out reaction in the presence of an amine catalyst, obtaining a resol type phenolic resin of an average molecular wegith of 300W400 with a molar ratio of the aldehyde to the phenol of 1.25W1.37. The resol type phenolic resin thus obtained is then made into varrish which is impregnated in a base material a to form prepreg. a plurality of the prepreg are laminated to carry out froming operation. Thus obtaining the objective phenolic resin laminate.
