Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a manufacture of a plastic lens for spectacles which is free from cloud and a cord and has a superior optical performance and an excellent lens shape, and a spacer of a mold for manufacturing the plastic lens.
CONSTITUTION: A liquid curable compound which is a plastic lens material is injected into a mold composed of a pair of molding dies 3 and spacers 1 and is subjected to polymerization in a state wherein the part of contact of the spacer 1 with the liquid curable compound is made a surface containing at least one kind of macromolecular compound 2 out of polyethylene, polypropylene, polyamide, polyethylene terephthalate, polypropylene and polytetrafluoroethylene.
