PURPOSE: To reduce manufacturing process by grinding the outside face of a cutting edge member at a saw setting angle after joining the side part of a thin saw body member onto the center line of the side part of the cutting edge member, in case of manufacturing a saw body member and a saw blade whose material of the cutting edge member differs.

CONSTITUTION: The outside face extended from the upper side edge 3 of a cutting edge member 2 over the joining line 4 of the cutting edge member 2 and a saw body member 1 is ground at a saw setting angle after welding the side part of a hardened saw body member 1 whose thickness is thinner than that of the cutting edge member 2 onto the center line of the side part of the hardened cutting edge member 2 of high hardness. In this case, the friction resistance is reduced and a saw blade of excellent sharpness can be obtd., if the section of the grinding face is made to draw slightly an arcuate shape. It is completed by dressing on the part of the cutting edge member 2 of the formed saw blade.
