PURPOSE: To remove the backlash of the gear, speed reducer, etc., of the feeding driving system of a rotating tool and to prevent the breakdown of a chip by pre-giving the tension in the cutting load direction to the support shaft of the rotating tool, in a broaching machine, etc.
CONSTITUTION: One end of the support shaft 5, 6 supporting the rotating tool of a broach blade 4, etc., is borne to the case 7 of a rotating tool feed driving device incorporating a speed reducing mechanism and the other end is borne to a support case 9 side. A hydraulic motor 10 giving the tension in the cutting load direction in advance is provided on the support shaft 6 of the support case 9 side. So that, the rotating force in the cutting feed direction by a broach blade feed driving motor 8 is transmitted to the broach blade 4 via the speed reducer of the case 7 inside of the broach blade feed driving device and the support shaft 5. This rotating force in the cutting feed direction is transmitted to the hydraulic motor 10 from the support shaft 6 via a large diameter gear 11 and small diameter gear 12 but the tension in the opposite direction to cutting feed is applied and so the backlash of the broach blade 4 is removed.
