PURPOSE: To enable the automatic molding and enhance releasability by a method wherein a silicone rubber composition consisting of compounding an organic peroxide having the energy of activation with a semicurable organopolysiloxane composition having a crosslinkable functional group crosslinkable by an organic peroxide is cured into a particulate form at a specific temperature.
CONSTITUTION: A silicone rubber composition consisting of compounding an organic peroxide, whose activation energy is 25-41kcal/mol, with a semicurable organopolysiloxane composition comprising essentially organopolysiloxane having a functional group crosslinkable by an organic peroxide is cured into a particu late form at a temperature of lower than 100°C, thereby preparing particulate molded piece in a semicurable state while keeping the activity of the organic peroxide and having the crosslinkable function group of the organopolysiloxane. Then, the molding material is packed into a mold and cured completely under pressure at a temperature of not lower than 100°C.
