Abstract:

To obtain a method for compressing and solidifying a cloth product such as a towel or a shirt into a doughnut or arch rotary form which is convenient mainly to carry.

In manufacturing a doughnut shaped solidified cloth product, a lower mold 25 having an annular recessed groove 26, a narrow upper rim 27 and a center axis fitting hole 28 is mounted on a table 10, a lower mold fitting hole 21 of an outer cylinder 20 is put over the lower mold 25, a center axis 35 with a cloth product 45 folded like a belt rolled in a spiral is fitted into an upper mold sliding hole 22 of the outer cylinder 20, an upper mold 30 with its through hole 33 fitted over the center axis 35 is fitted into the upper mold sliding hole 22 of the outer cylinder 20, a ram 40 having a center axis insertion hole 43 is pressed against an upper surface of the upper mold 30, and the cloth product 45 is interposed between an annular recess 31 on a lower surface of the upper mold 30 and the annular recessed groove 26 on the upper surface of the lower mold 25 to have it compressed and solidified into the doughnut form.
