To establish a technique capable of manufacturing pellets having a fixed shape and size with high accuracy and high efficiency in manufacturing a raw material for a thixomolding method injection molding machine.
A molten metal M of a low melting point metal melted by a melting device 10 is sucked into a cylinder 31 of a pellet producing device 30, and a semi-solidified metal is extruded from the inside of the cylinder 31 by the movement of a rod 33 advancing/retreating to/from the opening of the cylinder 31 and cut into a fixed length to manufacture pellets. The pellet manufacturing device 30 is installed on the front stage of the thixomolding method injection molding machine 40, and the pellets manufactured are thrown into a raw material hopper 43 of the injection molding machine 40, thereby the pellet manufacturing line and the injection molding line can be made continuous.
