PURPOSE: To enable the fixing of a constant position of a heel matt easy, and to improve the finishing, by means of dieing by heating the other part at the forming temp. remaining the fixing part of the heel matt of the original drapery of a carpet.

CONSTITUTION: The whole surface of an original drapery 1 of a carpet except one part of the original drapery of the carpet extending from a packing 1a sid of the back surface up to a fixing part 3 of the heel matt and the outer side of the heel matt in the original drapery of the carpet fixed the heel matt 2 at a prescribed member, is heated at about 120W130°C of a forming temp. of the carpet from the packing 1a of the back surface, thereby the packing layer of a polyethylene resin is made into a fused state. In this case, the range of the part extending to outside of heel matt not heated along with the fixing part 3 of the heel matt 2, can be adequately determined, but in said case, the range of about 50W100mm from the circumferent part of the fixed heel matt 2 may not be reached at the forming temp.
