PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding method of a battery pack, wherein no cell is damaged even if numerous cell are welded and wherein a welding failure does not occur.
SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method of the battery pack, after arranging each one pair of top and bottom electrodes for welding 21, 22 or 23, 24 so as to contact with a metal sheath cans 16, 16 of the mutually neighboring cells 10a, 10b of plural cells arranged in a line, a welding current is applied between the pair of top electrodes for welding 21, 23 from the power supply, while pressurizing the both ends of the cells 10a, 10b and 10c in a row at a predetermined pressure, using pressure members 31, 32. By this, joule heat is generated at a contact part between the bottom part of the sheath can 16 of the cell 10a and the positive terminal 18 of the cell 10b, and this contact part is fused, thus the contact part of the bottom part of the sheath can 16 of the cell 10a and the positive terminal 18 of the cell 10b is welded.
