Title:
METHOD FOR DEPHOSPHORIZING MOLTEN IRON
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3733013
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dephosphorizing molten iron for restraining sticking and growth of slag on the inner surface of a refractory at a free board in a vessel, in the method for dephosphorizing the molten iron held in the vessel by utilizing converter slag as a dephosphorizing agent.
SOLUTION: Gaseous oxygen is blown into the vessel from the upper-space of the molten iron at ≥20° nozzle angle to the vertical downward direction. Then, at least one item among an outlet diameter of the nozzle for blowing the gaseous oxygen, pressure of the gaseous oxygen at the outlet of the nozzle and vertical distance from the outlet of the nozzle to the molten iron surface, is changed so that collision pressure of the gaseous oxygen in the vertical direction onto the molten iron surface becomes not less than a prescribed value.
