To provide a method for manufacturing a sound absorbing lightweight interior trim material by using a prepolymer becoming a semi-cured state at 60°C or lower and rapidly developing thermosetting properties by heating to a predetermined temperature as a binder for bonding respective members for constituting the sound absorbing lightweight interior trim material so as to avoid the insufficient adhesive states of the respective members and the bleeding of an adhesive component from a skin material.
In the method for manufacturing the laminar sound absorbing lightweight interior trim material by supplying the binder or the like to a sound absorbing material 12 and a reinforcing material 14 for constituting a part of the sound absorbing lightweight interior trim material, a predetermined amount of an isocyanate component is applied to the required surfaces of the respective materials 12 and 14 in a laminar state. Then, at least a polyol component or the like becoming 0.01-0.3% by weight of the isocyanate component is applied to those surfaces and heated to allow the prepolymer P becoming the semi-cured state at 60°C or lower to be present in the laminar isocyanate component surface layer.
