Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an optimum measurement according to a change in environment, the movement of a target, and the like, in a robot, a monitoring system, or the like.
SOLUTION: A measuring system 1 for measuring a target, based on images D1, D2 obtained from a plurality of cameras, includes a position control means for controlling the position of a camera for changing the photographing direction of a plurality of cameras 11, 21; a two-dimensional measuring means 41 for two-dimensionally measuring the target, based on images obtained from at least one camera for the target; a stereo measuring means 42 for performing the stereo measurement of the target, based on a plurality of images obtained from a plurality of cameras for the same target; and a controller 43 for switching the two-dimensional measuring means and the stereo measurement means for operation.
