Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automatically establish a mechanical connection and a centering of a module by fitting a rider formed from a connection member so as to have a fixed projection and a centering heel fitted to a groove, and by providing a pair of objective notches on opposed sides of cases of the modules. CONSTITUTION: A pair of notches 42 and 44 are disposed on the narrow sides of cases 18, and large sides 34 and 36 of two continuous modules are laid to form a rectangular groove 46 with the connected notches 42 and 44 facing each other. A rider 48 is inserted into the assembly of modules 12, 14 and 16 in an arrow F direction. A pair of fixed projections 52 and 54 are connected to a central heel 50 of the rider 48, and clip hooks 56 and 58 are formed on the ends of the fixed projections 52 and 54. Thus, a retaining end 60 provided in the inside of a housing 40 cooperates therewith in the inside wall of the adjacent large sides 34 and 36 to be elastically deformed. This can establish a close connection between the modules 12, 14 and 16 in a Z-axis direction and also can provide a centering thereof.
