Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix type display device which has a high opening ratio and whose yield is satisfactory. SOLUTION: Mutual interval parts of pixel electrodes 18 arranged in a column direction are constituted of a gate formation area 19 where two lines of gate lines are arranged and formed and a non-gate formation area 20 where the gate lines are not arranged and formed. This device is made so that the gate formation area 19 and the non-gate formation area 20 alternately exist in the column direction with pixel electrodes 18. As a result, it is made possible to arrange TFTs corresponding to two pixel electrodes adjacent in the column direction with the gate formation area 19 in between the both pixel electrodes 18, 18 and it is made possible to make the drain electrode 23 to be connected to the both TFTs 27 common. Thus, the increasing of the area of the pixel electrode 18 is made possible and the opening ratio can be enhanced.
