To provide an engaging/releasing mechanism for a dummy head and a table for elevating/lowering, with which the engaging/releasing of the dummy head and its table for elevating/lowering can surely be executed.

At the upper part of a stand part 13b in the table for elevating/ lowering, a hook member 24 which can be engaged/released with a recessed part 22 formed in the dummy head 6, is shakably supported through a supporting pin 25 and connected with the one end part of an L-shaped link 29 for working supported with a turnable supporting axial body 31 through a connecting link 27, and an operating rod 32 is provided with which the hook part 24 is shaken from the engaging state with this recessed part 22 to the releasing state through a connecting like 27 by abutting the operating rod 32 on the other end part of the link 29 for working when the table for elevating/lowering is lowered.
