Abstract:
To provide a sterilized medical instrument to a user while unitarily managing distribution histories of individual medical instruments.SOLUTION: A medical instrument management system 1 includes: a reading device 3 for reading, from an identifier C provided to a medical instrument DI, identification information of the medical instrument; and a management device 2 for managing a state of a plurality of medical instruments. The management device 2 includes: a state information storage unit for storing state information of the medical instrument that is associated with the identification information of the medical instrument and includes sterilization information on sterilization of at least the medical instrument; and a determination unit for determining a state of the medical instrument from the state information called from the state information storage unit according to the identification information read by the reading device 3. The determination unit has shipping determination means that discriminates whether or not sterilization information is stored in the state information storage unit regarding the medical instrument stored in a sterilization factory 5 and determines that shipment from the sterilization factory 5 to a user of the medical instrument is impossible when the sterilization information is not stored.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
