Abstract:
Provided is a storage and retrieval control system for medical-related articles with which human errors can be mostly avoided and the number of used articles can be accurately managed without preparing special surgery-related articles. The storage and retrieval control system for medical-related articles comprises: a label (4) attached to a medical-related article (3); and a waste container (5) into which the label is placed after being detached from the medical-related article before use, or into which the medical-related article with the label attached thereto is placed after use. The label comprises an RFID tag (6) that stores information relating to the medical-related article and is capable of wirelessly transmitting an article information signal including the information, and the waste container comprises a container-side transmission/reception unit (7) that receives the article information signal transmitted from the RFID tag of the label placed into the waste container and transmits the received article information signal.
