Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medicinal composition containing human colony stimulating factor-1 (hereinafter referred to as CSF-1) produced by recombination as an active ingredient and useful in healing wound. SOLUTION: This recombinant CSF-1 is administered together with a growth factor selected from a group consisting of eosinophilic differentiation factor, acidic or basic fibroblast growth factor, epidermal growth factor, transforming growth factor α or β, IL-1 and somatomedin c. The CSF-1 is mixed with a vehicle, cytokine or lymphokine to prepare a medicinal composition. The composition promotes production of white blood corpuscle including neutrophils from stem cell, prevents and treats infectious diseases of both bacterial and viral disease of mammals, enhances stimulus of oncotherapy and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity of macrophage against tumor cell, and is useful for promotion of healing of wound. It is preferable that the composition is administered by injection.
