The medium processor includes: a first carrying means which carries the medium; a first medium processing means which prints information to the medium; a medium detecting means which detects the medium; a second carrying means which carries the first medium processing means and the medium detecting means in order to scan the medium by the first medium processing means and the medium detecting means; a second medium processing means which processes the information of the information storage area of the medium; a carrying position detecting means which detects the carrying position of the medium based on the moving amount of the second carrying means and the medium detection by the medium detecting means; a third carrying means which carries the second medium processing means in order to scan the medium by the second medium processing means; and a carrying control means which controls the moving of the third carrying means based on the detection result of the carrying position.
