PURPOSE: To provide a mesh sheet having high, bonding strength at the edge parts and resistant to the lowering of physical properties caused by the post- treatment process comprising the application of a metal eyelet.

CONSTITUTION: An air-diffusible mesh substrate 2 is produced by using a yarn 1 composed of a high-melting polymer 5 as the core and having a low-melting polymer 4 on the surface as the warp or the weft of the mesh substrate. The edge of the substrate 2 is covered with an edge tape 3 produced by laminating a low-melting polymer 8 to a base material composed of a high-melting polymer 9. The edge tape 3 is welded to the mesh substrate 2 in such a manner as to direct the low-melting polymer layer 8 inwardly and sandwich the circumference of the substrate 2 with the tapes.
