To obtain a meshed article having excellent workability, when laid and fixed, by processing coated synthetic fiber yarns to form a meshed article and then thermally treating the formed meshed article, wherein the coated synthetic fiber yarns are prepared by coating high melting point yarns with a thermoplastic resin having a lower melting point than that of the high melting point yarns.
This meshed article is obtained by coating yarns comprising a high melting point component, such as polyester yarns, with 200-1,000 vol.%, preferably 200-650 vol.%, of a low melting point component having a melting point difference of ≥30°C between the melting point of the low melting point component and the melting point of the above yarns, processing the coated yarns into a knitted fabric or a net, and subsequently thermally treating the knit fabric or the net to integrally fuse the coated yarns to each other.
