This torchon is formed by knitting a plurality of fine yarns in a narrow and large length. Therein, the torchon is formed by longitudinally continuing couples of knitted and braided portions. Each couple of the knitted and braided portions comprises a region 2 in which a series of patterns are continuously formed in at least the larger length than the lateral length, and a plurality of separated regions 3 extended from the tip of the region 2 and comprising the torchon. Elastic yarns may be used as the knitting or braiding yarns to form an elastic torchon, and functional yarns having antimicrobial and hygroscopic properties may be used as the knitting or braiding yarns to form a functional torchon.
