PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To let a marking agent have the general purpose use, to needlessly prepare the marking agent corresponding to the kind of metal and to easily make the maintenance by selecting the saturated high polymer poly-ester resin and melamine resin, and further the metal complex salt color as the coloring agent.
SOLUTION: In order to discriminate a welding part of a metal coil or a fault part, a metal coil marking agent to be coated on the welding part or the fault part has the next composition. That is, it is composed of (A) 100 weight part of saturated poly-ester resin of ≥3000 mean molecular weight, (B) 15 to 60 weight part of the melamine resin, (C) 0 to 8 weight part of the hardening catalyzer, (D) metal complex salt color as the coloring agent and (E) a solvent, and it is the metal coil marking agent by hardening it in 120 to 200°C and using. Therefore, the coloring agent, etc., is not separated, the storage stability is made excellently, and the workability is made also excellently because it is hardened swiftly even in a comparatively low temperature.
