Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To verify the tension of a stud for mounting a container lid while it is being mounted on a stud pulling machine during a pull process for attachment and detachment.
SOLUTION: The liquid pressure of a pulling machine 10 is increased from a first low-pressure value to a high-pressure value for pulling a stud 14, and at the same time the increase in the pressure of working fluid is correlated to the amount of working fluid in the pulling machine 10, a pull rod 50, or one of the displacement of a piston 52. After a nut 16 is clamped to the stud 14, the working fluid is reduced from the high-pressure value to the second low-pressure value, at the same time the amount of decrease in the working fluid is correlated to the pull rod 50 or the piston 52, or the amount of decrease in the working fluid is correlated to the amount of liquid. Also, the expansion of the stud 14 is measured as either function of the difference in the correlation capacity of the working fluid at first and second low-pressure values or the correlation difference of the displacement of the pull rod 50 or the piston 52. Finally, the pull machine 10 is removed from the stud 14.
