In a metal complex compound having a specific structure and an organic electroluminescent device that has at least a monolayer or multiple layers of organic thin film layers between the cathode and the anode, at least one layer in the organic thin film layers is the organic electroluminescent device including the metal complex compounds as a single or multiple components.
