Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal separator for a fuel cell which can maintain low contact resistance in a corrosive environment.SOLUTION: A metal separator 20 for a fuel cell includes: a metal substrate 21; a chromium oxycarbide layer 23 formed on the surface of the metal substrate 21; and a conductive layer 25 formed on the chromium oxycarbide layer 23. The metal separator 20 for a fuel cell is so configured that the conductive layer 25 is a diamond-like carbon (DLC) layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
