Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fatty acid metal salt composition excellent in thermal discoloration resistance, and a polyacetal resin composition using the fatty acid metal salt composition.SOLUTION: The method for producing a fatty acid metal salt composition includes: a mixing step of mixing a fatty acid (A) with an antioxidant (B) at a temperature equal to or higher than the melting point of the fatty acid (A) to obtain a molten mixture; and a reaction step of reacting one or more metal compounds (C) selected from the group consisting of metal hydroxides, chlorides, and oxides with the molten mixture to obtain a fatty acid metal salt composition (D).SELECTED DRAWING: None
