Abstract:

To provide a method for activating an adsorbent by liquefied dimethyl ether, in which the activation, desorption and reactivation of the adsorbent are performed by using an energy-saving process in which a heat source or post treatment is hardly required.

The method for activating the adsorbent by liquefied dimethyl ether comprises the steps of: immersing the adsorbent in liquefied dimethyl ether; keeping such an adsorbent-immersed state for a fixed time; gasifying liquefied dimethyl ether and removing gasified dimethyl ether; and recovering the adsorbate-containing dimethyl ether from the adsorbent.
