Abstract:
PURPOSE: To facilitate adjustment work by shifting an upper drum by rotation so that the scale value of a finger position coincides with the scale value of an eye mark regardless of the position of the finger of a gathering chain shifted from a reference point at the start time of operation to adjust timing.
CONSTITUTION: In such a state that the falling timing of a signature S is matched, a finger scale 5 is attached to an immovable member 7 so that graduations increase in the advance direction of a gathering chain 1 on the basis of the position of a finger 1a. A drum scale 6 having graduations (upper drum outer peripheral length)/(finger pitch length) times as large as said graduations marked thereon is attached to the outer peripheral surface of an upper drum 2 or the outer peripheral surface of a drum 8 having the same diameter as the drum 2 and rotating together with the drum 2 so that the graduations increase in a rotary direction on the basis of the eye mark 10 applied to an immovable part 9. The scale value of the position of the finger la is allowed to coincide with the scale value of the eye mark 10 at the start time of operation to adjust the falling timing of the signature.
