Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cooling an extruded material capable of not generating a bend when the extruded material having a cross sectional shape whose part of the outer peripheral surface is not easily cooled is forced- air-cooled.
SOLUTION: The method for cooling the extruded material is characterized in that only a part not easily cooled in the outer peripheral surface of the extruded material is pre-cooled by a pre-cooling portion 18 and then cooled through forced air cooling by a cooling fan 17. By this way, the temperature of the part not easily cooled in the outer peripheral surface becomes lower than the temperature of the other part through pre-cooling so that no imbalance occurs in the cooling of the outer peripheral surface at the time of cooling through forced air cooling and no bend is generated.
