To provide a method and an apparatus for doubling nanofiber filaments, which produce high strength and uniform threads composed of nanofibers, in excellent productivity with reduced cost.
The apparatus includes nanofiber 9 forming means 2 flowing out electron charged polymer solution prepared by dissolving a polymer material in a solvent from small holes 4 of a cylindrical vessel 3 in high speed rotation and stretching by electrostatic explosion and centrifugal force, deflection flowing means 10 allowing the nanofibers in the process of production to flow while rotating around an axis along the drawing direction of the nanofiber 9, by a combination of the rotary cylindrical vessel 3, a reflection electrode 11, ventilating means, etc., and collecting means 13 collecting the threads bundling and twisting the rotating and flowing nanofibers 9.
