Abstract:

To provide a method and apparatus for greatly decreasing coke dust in a gaseous discharge during decoking of a hydrocarbon cracking oven.

This apparatus for decreasing coke dust in a decoking discharge in a hydrocarbon cracking oven is equipped with a means for condensing the discharge, a means for collecting the condensation liquid, a means for filtering the liquid, and a means for cleaning residual vapor and gas incapable of being condensed with the same condensation liquid suitably filtered from coke, and the filtered condensation liquid is vaporized by using the heat content of an input decoking gas in order to be released into a following atmospheric air. The method for decreasing coke dust in a decoking discharge of a hydrocarbon cracking oven comprises the step of filtering a solid component in a gaseous discharge generated in decoking from the condensation liquid obtained from the gaseous discharge and the step of removing a gas and a vapor both contained in the gaseous discharge and incapable of being condensed by cleaning.
