Abstract:

To prevent a continuation of abnormal production by monitoring the distribution of surface temperatures of an induction heating roller used in a direct drawing process of synthetic fibers in the shaft direction which should be controlled at an identical temperature and detecting the abnormality of temperature distribution of the roller having a jacket due to the flowing out of heating medium.

Plural resistance thermometer elements are placed, by using the present measuring system of the resistance thermometer elements, at plural positions, that is, at the end and central parts in the direction of the shaft for each range in which surface temperatures are controlled at an identical temperature in the direction of the shaft, so that the temperatures can be continuously measured during operation, and abnormalities in the distribution of surface temperatures can be monitored. This makes possible that, when an abnormality in the distribution of surface temperatures occurs, immediately, the abnormality is detected, and countermeasures are taken. Thus, by monitoring the leaking of the heating medium from a roller having the jacket section, the securing of product quality becomes possible.
