PURPOSE: To provide a method of homogeneously feeding a large volume of gas into a medium consistency fiber suspension with a high mixing ratio, capable of minimizing the generation of the gas separation.
CONSTITUTION: In a method comprising steps: (a) in which gas and a fiber suspension are introduced to a mixing device; (b) in which the gas is mixed into the fiber suspension in a fluidized state and (c) in which the gas is mixed into a medium consistency (8-25%) fiber suspension and which includes the steps in which the liquid mixture is discharged, the liquid mixture of the gas- fiber suspension is fluidized in the step (b), and at the same time, the liquid mixture is homogenized by throttling the flow so that the effect of the fluctuation of the pressure of the mixture between an inlet and an outlet is minimized upon mixing. For this purpose, a plurality of mixing means 42, 44 and 46 are provided in a homogenization zone 40 formed by a casing wall 30 of the mixing device 10, and the gas and the fiber suspension are strongly fluidized.
