Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the occurrence of writing errors that are restored automatically without ensuring the size of a receiving buffer excessively in advance at the side of a printing device by renewing automatically the unit size of printing data inputted or setting time in accordance with an actual transfer rate.
SOLUTION: The data size detection part 141 detects the unit size of printing data inputted from a printing administration part 12, the timer 142 measures a stay time of the printing data to be transferred to a printer 2, and the time- out time administration part 143 carries out setting and renewal of the time-out time by the timer 142. In the printing control device 10, in order to restrain the occurrence of writing errors at least during cleaning mode, an initial value of the time-out time is set in a relatively long time on the basis of the minimum transfer rate of the printing data and the maximum buffer size to be ensured by the receiving buffer. The minimum transfer rate is made into an initial value by calculating the continuous time of an intermittent mode.
