To prevent a transfer fault by bringing a highly minute pattern into close contact with a base material to be transferred arranged on a temporarily fixed base by vacuumizing the inside of the base, then applying a heat and a pressure, and transferring from a transfer base material to the base material to be transferred.
A temporarily fixing apparatus 30 has a box-like temporarily fixing base 33 and a position regulating stage 34, and a base plate 35 of a base material to be transferred is disposed by a conveyor in the base 33. After the plate 35 and a transfer base material 9 are temporarily fixed, the base 33 is descended. Then, an arm 29a of a base plate conveyor 29 is intruded into a lower surface of the plate 35 to support the plate 35, conveyed and supported to next transfer stage 31. Then, predetermined pressure and temperature are applied by a transfer roll 32, a highly minute pattern of a predetermined size is transferred from the material 9 to the plate 35, and the plate 35 is fed to next treating step, and the material 9 is wound on a winding roll 21.
