PURPOSE: To extend the life of washing water, to prevent the contamination of a plate and to reduce the generation of an offensive smell, in a photosensitive material treatment method wherein a washing process performing washing while circulating washing water is provided in succession to a developing treatment process, by subjecting washing water to electrolytic oxidation treatment.
CONSTITUTION: A photosensitive material treatment apparatus is constituted of a photosensitive planographic printing plate insertion part A, a developing part B and a washing part C. The washing part C is equipped with a washing tank 20, an electrolytic oxidation treatment device 21, a magnet pump 22, washing water emitting nozzles 6A, 6B and nip feed rollers 3A, 3B and a printing plate is washed in a process feeding the printing plate by both nip feed rollers 3A, 3B. At this time, the washing water in the washing water tank 20 is passed through the electrolytic oxidation treatment device 21 to be treated and ejected from the washing water emitting nozzles 6A, 6B. As mentioned above, by treating washing water using the electrolytic oxidation treatment device 21, the life of washing water is extended and the contamination of the printing plate is prevented.
