PURPOSE: To reduce an adverse influence of a tone difference of an ink layer and a distortion by previously coloring a base film printed with an image pattern layer made of three layers, i.e., a release layer, an ink layer, and an adhesive layer.

CONSTITUTION: A release layer 13, an ink layer 14, and an adhesive layer 15 are successively laminated on one surface of a base film F to form an image pattern layer 16. The base film F is colored. The base film F is heated by a heater 23 to be softened, thereafter being brought into pressure contact with the outer surface of a fairing 11, and the image pattern layer 16 is bonded on the fairing 11 through the adhesive layer 15. By releasing the base film F, an image pattern made of the ink layer 14 is transferred. When the base film F is applied with a white-series color, a heat ray emitted from the heater 23 is reflected by the base film F and, thus, the reduced heat ray reaches the ink layer 14. When it is applied with a black series color, the heat ray is absorbed in the base film F and, thus, the reduced heat ray reaches the ink layer 14. In this manner, an influence of a tone difference on the image pattern is minimized, and an image application transfer can be realized with high accuracy.
