Title:
METHOD FOR CALCULATING DIFFUSION COEFFICIENT RELATED TO CONTAMINANT FLOWING OUT OF SOLIDIFIED BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3917030
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for more accurately calculating a diffusion coefficient used for performing an analysis regarding the amount of contaminant flowing out of a solidified body obtained by performing the insolubilization treatment of the contaminant.
SOLUTION: A diffusion test is performed to dip the sample of the solidified body into the solvent for necessary time for measuring lapse time and the amount of change in contaminant concentration in the solvent. Measurement values of lapse time in the diffusion test and the amount of change in contaminant concentration are substituted for a relation expression among conditions listed below: (a) the shape of the sample is assumed to be a rectangular parallelepiped having specific dimensions; (b) a specific initial contaminant concentration distribution is set to the contaminants in the sample; (c) the contaminant concentration near the boundary between the sample and the solvent is regarded to be always constant; (d) aging in the contaminant concentration distribution in the sample can be derived by modelling according to the Fick law, lapse time, the amount of change in contaminant concentration in the solvent, and the diffusion coefficient of contaminants in the solidified body.
