Abstract:

To provide a method and device for coating a cylindrical base body which is capable of simply and inexpensively forming a uniform coating film without foaming from the dipped tip of the cylindrical base body during the coating and to provide a method for manufacturing electrophotographic photoreceptor and an electrophotographic photoreceptor.

The method for coating the cylindrical base body to apply a coating liquid 5 on the peripheral surface of the cylindrical base body 1 is performed by allowing a holding member 2 to abut with the inside wall of the cylindrical base body 1 to tightly close one end of the cylindrical base body and to hold it with the holding member 2 and dipping the cylindrical base body 1 held by the holding member 2 from the other end into the coating liquid 5 and then pulling up the base body 1. The sealing between the upper side and the lower side of the abutting part is released in a very small part in the abutting site of the holding member 2 with the inside wall of the cylindrical base body 1 by forming at least one groove 11 on the inside wall of the holding member 2 and/or the cylindrical base body 1. The electrophotographic photoreceptor manufacturing method uses the coating method and the electrophotographic photoreceptor is obtained by the manufacturing method.
