Abstract:
PURPOSE: To effectively carry out water vapor condensation and condensed water collection by using a solid plate having a surface with saw-tooth type unevenness.
CONSTITUTION: Water vapor in the air is condensed on a solid surface by cooling the surface at the dew point or below to collect condensed water from the surface. The solid plate has a surface with saw-tooth type unevenness. The shape of the saw-tooth can be changed by forming an edge 11 of a flat trapezoid, a curved side, a wide tooth bottom 12, and so on. The saw-tooth has a pitch of 1.0-2.5cm and a ratio of the height to the pitch of 0.2-0.5. Water vapor in the air can be collected efficiently by using the plate.
