Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce input commands to members in a semiautomatic type and protect from troubles in a fully-automatic type by applying a sensing method only for sensing a position corresponding to the register specification of the front end of a used printing plate before the sending of guiding a new printing plate into a start engaging area and the holding of the position corresponding to the register specification of the printing plane and also before the closing of the engaging area.
CONSTITUTION: A register pin 6 to be interrogated electrically is provided in an engaging area 4. The pin 6 is connected with a control apparatus 7, and the control for an operation apparatus 5 is carried out through the apparatus 7. Then the printing cylinder is revolved slowly in the reverse direction to a given angle, and a used printing plate is transferred into an automatic printing plate exchanger to the rear edge of the printing cylinder. Alternately, the used printing plate is transferred horizontally into a release apparatus for being removed. The positioning of the printing cylinder is carried out on the sheet angle position used for guiding the front edge of a printing plate to be guided into a corresponding printing start end clamping rail DA. The printing cylinder is on the set angle position by revolving in the reverse direction, and then the printing start end clamping rail is opened.
