Abstract:
To control powdering of slag, and to utilize the slag.
The method for controlling the powdering of the slag is characterized by cooling and solidifying a molten slag, at a cooling velocity V(°C/ second) or higher determined by equation 1: logV=2.5×{(%CeO)-(%Fe)}/(% SiO2)-2.8, where each of (%CaO), (%SiO2), and (%Fe) indicates mass% of calcium oxides, silicon oxides and iron existing as iron oxides, out of the components in the slag.
