CONSTITUTION: Based on the detected result from a shape detector, shape balance values Vn-1, Vn of the balance of shape on the driving and working sides of a rolled stock are calculated, difference V between the shape balance value Vn+1 at the present control and the shape balance value Vn at a preceding control is calculated and control gain gVR by which multiplies the present controlled value ΔXn+1 is automatically changed so that the shape balance value is decreased based on the difference V.
