Title:
METHOD FOR COOLING LANCE FOR INJECTING POWDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3299173
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling method of a lance for injecting powder, with which the shortening of service life of the lance is not brought even in the case of blowing a large quantity of gaseous oxygen into molten iron through the lance immersed into the molten iron at the time of pretreating the molten iron.
SOLUTION: At the time of executing the dephosphorization of molten iron by injecting dephosphorizing flux and gaseous oxygen into the molten iron through a lance immersed into the molten iron, the lance is made to double tubes 1 and dephosphorizing flux and the gaseous oxygen 7 from the inner tube 4, a hydrocarbon base gas 9 and lime 5 from a gap 8 between the inner tube 4 and the outer tube 2, are injected and the outer tube 2 is cooled. The ratio of the gaseous oxygen to the total blowing oxygen quantity (the total of the gaseous oxygen and the oxygen quantity charged with solid iron oxide 6) is made to 20-100% and also, it is desirable to make the hydrocarbon base gas 9 to 3-10% of the gaseous oxygen and the lime 5 to 0.40-3.0 kg/Nm3-O2 of the total blowing oxygen.
